Podcast: How to Unite Association Members

By Tamara Perry-Lunardo • November 18, 2025

Community is one of the most powerful member benefits that associations offer. And that is exactly what Ronn Nozoe, CEO of the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP), is working to build.

In the latest episode of the Association Adviser Podcast, Nozoe joins Christine Shaw, CEO and President of Naylor Association Solutions, for a conversation on how associations can create meaningful, ongoing connections among members, especially at a time when so many are feeling isolated.

Nozoe’s background is deeply rooted in education, from classroom teacher to principal to Deputy Assistant Secretary for Policy and Programs at the U.S. Department of Education. Today, he leads NASSP with a clear mission: to support school leaders in real time, not just once a year at a conference.

Shaw and Nozoe discuss NASSP’s peer-to-peer engagement networks and the shift toward hyper-personalized professional learning. They talk about how associations can elevate member stories to influence policy and drive advocacy, and how digital platforms can be used to build connections among members.

They also explore the unique approach to seeking connection employed by the younger generation and how associations can create impactful ways to bring members together.

Listen now to the full conversation with Ronn Nozoe: How to Unite Association Members.
