Engaging Members and Increasing Brand Awareness Through Digital Videos
AACS is reaching out to educate the public about beauty and wellness careers. In 2009, AACS launched a newly designed website. The site makes it easy for visitors to find schools in their area and leverages one of the most important trends in marketing— a branded digital video.
According to the Nielsen “Three Screen Report,” online video consumption is on the rise, with Internet users watching 53 more minutes of video online than they did at this time a year ago—a 34.9 percent increase!
The AACS “Your Beautiful Career” video, uploaded to YouTube, generated more than 5,000 views. Additional consumer-oriented videos are planned for 2010. AACS also uses video as a means of keeping members up to date, with monthly video “President Updates” distributed digitally. Finally, AACS will continue to offer affordable, high-quality videos that schools may purchase for use on their Web sites and in social media outreach. The recent “Beauty Changes Lives” video provided a way for schools to share the excitement of the live event on their websites.
