Experts suggest that modest goals and continuous incremental improvements can add up to significant results.<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s why Naylor exercises corporate responsibility with procedures intended to reduce its carbon footprint and conserve natural resources.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.naylornetwork.com\/NAY-ADVISER\/assets\/takeaways.png\" alt=\"\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2502\" src=\"https:\/\/www.naylor.com\/associationadviser\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2014\/02\/Tweetables-icon.jpg\" alt=\"Tweetables\" width=\"300\" height=\"65\" \/><\/p>\n<table style=\"background: #dcdcdc; width: 100%; border-collapse: collapse; border: black 1px solid;\" cellpadding=\"20\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"border: black 1px solid;\">\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">For your print-based member publications and announcements, consider using Forest Stewardship Council (FSC)-certified paper stock, 100-percent recyclable PVC coil binding and vegetable inks made from soy. <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">To improve your green delivery process, verify each address with the post office to avoid wasted mailings and reduce your reliance on polybagging, and use 100-percent recyclable bags when you must polybag. <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Conserve energy by switching to fluorescent or compact fluorescent light bulbs in your buildings and program your thermostats to use less energy during evenings and weekends. <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p>&#8220;We believe that companies can be profitable and environmentally responsible in the publishing industry and establish a solid environmental record,&#8221; said Glenn Buffie, Naylor&#8217;s plant and distribution manager. &#8220;A lot of our customers have been demanding greater environmental responsibility and commitment from us, and we have always exceeded their expectations.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s a look at a few green policy actions Naylor has implemented:<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Our products<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>We strive to ensure our products are as environmentally friendly as possible through Forest Stewardship Council (FSC)-certified paper stock, 100-percent recyclable PVC coil binding and vegetable-based inks made from soy, which contain extremely low amounts of volatile organic compounds. For a green delivery process, we verify each address with the post office to reduce waste. We have significantly reduced polybagging of our publications and the polybags we do use are 100-percent recyclable.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Our facilities<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Every effort is made to reduce waste. We work paperless as often as possible through electronic capabilities, and the paper we use is made new again.
